A Pomodoro Timer is a focus tool based on the 25/5 Pomodoro Technique: you work on one task for a single 25-minute block (a "pomodoro"), then take a 5-minute break. After every four blocks you take a longer rest. The technique was created by Francesco Cirillo in the 1980s to break big tasks into short, beatable rounds.
25 minutes is long enough to make real progress but short enough to protect your attention from drifting. The 5-minute break lets your brain reset before the next round. This rhythm prevents burnout, makes starting a task feel easy, and keeps one focused goal per session.
Click Start to run a 25-minute focus block. When the tomato rings, switch to a 5-minute break. After four focus blocks, take a longer break. You can change the focus and break length in the minutes fields, pause and resume with the control buttons, and watch your completed rounds grow in the tray beside the tomato.

The 25/5 rule is the classic Pomodoro rhythm: 25 minutes of focused work followed by a 5-minute break. After four of these blocks (about two hours) you take a longer break lasting 15 to 30 minutes.
Yes. Use the minutes fields in the workspace to set any focus and break duration you like. A 50/10 rhythm is a common longer alternative for deep work sessions.
The classic method recommends four 25-minute Pomodoros (about two hours) before a longer break of 15–30 minutes. Listen to your energy and take the long break whenever you feel concentration drop.
It counts every completed focus block as a tomato in the tray next to the mascot, so you can see how many Pomodoros you have finished in this visit. The count is only stored in your browser for the current session.
It beeps when a block ends, and includes a built-in generative reading music toggle you can turn on for focus. Everything is synthesized in your browser with Web Audio — nothing is uploaded or recorded.
